Cemetery & Parks Meeting

The meeting was opened at 7:18PM present were John Barrett, Tubby Boucher, Ray Boyes, Roger Rapoza and Pam Haman.
Appointments: Colin Mcnabb from the TBA was at the meeting to discuss the Common. Roger and Colin have been working on getting pricing for concrete to repair/replace the sidewalks inside the common area. Roger stated that it would be approximately 82 sections that need repairing/replacing at approximately $3.41 per block. The work would be done by the department during the course of the season. Colin also has the potential to get loam donated for the common. The loam would be used to repair the most noticeable depressions in the common.
Before any work is done on the common the commissioners would like to get feedback from groups that use the common for events since this would impact driving on the common. Pam mentioned that some groups have not yet returned their common use forms.
A brief discussion was held on the qualifications of purchasing cemetery lots. The department will not be making any changes at this time.
The Minister from the Congregational Church approached Roger about using the Common for a service once a month during the summer. John made a motion to allow the Congregational Church to use the common for an occasional church service independent of another event. There was no second on the motion. Roger will invite the Minster to the June meeting to discuss the issue.
Bills were reviewed, approved, and signed.
